Ingo Arndt has worked as a professional wildlife photographer since for the last twenty years. His photographs are published all over the world in such magazines as GEO, National Geographic, BBC Wildlife and Terre Sauvage. Passionate about the ability of photography as a tool in environmental protection he travels all over the world taking photographs of wildlife and recording unique forms of behaviour in the animal kingdom. His particular interest has been in the swarming of animals, insects and birds in what he describes as Animal Masses where the gathering together of a species often produces a super-organism more able to defend itself as a unit than as individuals.
Ingo Arndt has had work exhibited in many European museums and won prizes for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2007 and many of the photographs have won European Nature Photographer of the Year awards. He is a Member of the German Photographic Society.
