Celebrating ten years of representing German artist, Eberhard Ross exclusively in the UK, this long-awaited solo exhibition presents new works on canvas, aluminium and on paper. Cemented in the fine drawing tradition, Eberhard Ross' work continues to explore themes relating to silence, silent spaces, light and luminescence. "In my paintings I am trying to convey something about the sound of silence as in the title “fermata” a musical term for a pause or suspension of a note. In school in Germany in the 1960s there was a period in the day called Silentium in which you had to be silent and do your studies and homework. It is a word I have grown up with and describes my working alone on my paintings in the studio." For more information about available works in the exhibition please get in touch.
